2016 Irish Responsible Tourism Awards
We are thrilled and honoured to announce that Fuchsia Lane Farm has been chosen as a finalist in the 2016 Irish Responsible Tourism Awards. These awards are designed to celebrate those making a difference in Irish tourism and using tourism to benefit local communities, economies and the environment. Fuchsia Lane Farm is one of three finalists in the category Best Tourism Accommodation for Local Sourcing and the shortlist was chosen by industry experts under the direction of Failte Ireland.
Mr Paddy Matthews, Head of Innovation and Investment at Failte Ireland has stated that ‘a more environmentally conscious and community-centred approach to developing tourism in Ireland is becoming more and more mainstream…it results in more genuine and authentic experiences for all our visitors’
Here at Fuchsia Lane Farm Holiday Cottages, Terryglass, Co Tipperary, we have always worked on creating and sustaining our own ‘authentic rural experience’ since we started in business nearly 20 years ago. We provide our own and local produce to our guests, allow them to experience the solitude and refreshing environment of our family farm, with access to walks, woodland and relaxation areas. Being selected for this award fills us with pride and encourages us to keep doing what we love!
